Math equation editor for PPC

Hi,

Does anyone know of some sort of equation editor that can be used for the PPC? I don't want to solve the equations, just enter them so that they are readable and then transfer them to something like word.

Thanks

Why don't you use Notes or Pocket WORD?

Neither contain an equation editor like Word on PC. That is why he is asking.

Equation editor allows for proper formatting of fractions, derivatives, etc. to look like they would in a text book. It always surprises me that there isn't more demand for such features in third party office software.

Sorry I can't answer the original question though.

You could use a program that creates a equation on the screen (My Pocket Calc, Math Xpander, Formulae 1, more), do a screen capture, then use a photo editor to crop what you need.

If you wanted a free equation editor for your desktop PC I would recommend Mathcast. http://mathcast.sourceforge.net/features.html

Something else that might be helpful, consider MathInput SIP to easily get the characters you need on your PPC.

Ah, ok. You can tell that math was not my favourite subject!

Thanks all,

Most of the writing I do involves equations and I use my x50 all the time for writing stuff down. It is a pain to write a text version of an equation and then translate it later, but looks like I'll have to stick with that.

How about using the equation solver/editor that is part of the HP48GX? The emulator to run this calculator on the PDA is available from http://www.hpcalc.org. A posting somewhere else here posted a VGA skin for the program. Then use a screen capture as someone else suggested.
