Sorry new thread, but I wanted this to not get lost in the middle of someone elses thread. Read on for the "possible" best solution to get heard by the big boys.
Ok, seriously people... the complaining, the lawsuit threats, I'm sending this back and so should you, the I'm calling Dell RIGHT NOW!!! thing is not working for you. You all have a legitimate beef with them, as do I. I own an x50v (and the upgrade) which is sitting on WM2003se. I also own an x51v, which imho is the better of the 2 devices but still requires hacks, so you see I'm in the same boat as everyone else. Do I want to see an update for the x50v? You betcha. They sold software that is hardly functional right out of the box. They are working on the 51v but not the way it should be (BT stack).
BUT!!! Calling Dell every 5 minutes is not going to do anything since our buddy "Andy" in India is not capable of raising the issue any further than "Manager Johnathon" who is also in India. They work in a call center. They are paid minimal wages, and at the end of the day, they could give a poop about you, because they are 1/2 a world away and if Dell cancels their contract, Accenture, HP, etc will pick them next week. Welcome to outsourcing, would you like a squishie? Pay me $5/hr and I wouldn't give two poops about you either.
So you want a solution? It's right
here - or more specifically -
here
The Better Business Bureau. File a complaint.
Things tend to get handled a little differently when a legitimate agency starts to wonder why you have 10,000 complaints about the same issue. The CEO/VP/CFO/ETC know when the BBB gets involved because as the numbers of complaints grow the number of investors starts to go down, and that my friends will affect the stockholders... When stockholders start losing money, they start asking the big boys why, and sh!t gets done.
So, you want something done? File a legitimate, mature, non-emotional complaint with the BBB. Forget calling "Andy"... he doesn't understand what you are saying anyway.
