Thank in advance to all...

I was using the "Ipod video converter" to cram short clips ont my SD card, the settings on the software were default MP4/AAC - I can confirm that this player works with AAC audio.

It renders like crap on the screen, but it will play the video.

Good luck.

I can only confirm TCPMP is the best for video. For playing music I like mortplayer better, because of some nice features like car screen, varios shuffle modes and many more...

Halije,

Jigsaw, was able to provide the MISSING link that I needed here in the US to get TCPMP to work properly with AAC. Version .71 does not include AAC (or at least where I downloaded it from) and a serperate plug-in is necessary to get it to work.

I was however able to download other plug-ins from this official site http://tcpmp.corecodec.org/download:
AC3
FFMpeg
Speex
Vorbisiq

;)

BUT, thanks to Jigsaw, I now "see" the light and VIDEO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks again to all for a great site and AWESOME support for our favorite PPC!!! I must say, I'm liking the AXIM in spades compared to my Toshiba E740 & E755!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I hope you have the right avc plugin. I am using Videora iPod converter and iPod profile for H624 and MP4, TCPMP works great on both audio/video.

I've never had a problem with WM10 for the Axim. In fact, you can syncronize playlists using the WM10 on the PC and teh Axim automatically! I do have TCPMP for other filetypes, but I much prefer WM10, particularly with the Library setup (no need to manually add files to the library, just scan the whole device).

The only thing missing is editing playlists, which is another reason to keep TCPMP around
