Hmm Sync issue for contacts/meetings with embedded notes

Hey everyone,

I'm the proud owner of a brand new X51 received two weeks ago. This little baby gives me a lot of trouble though. First I have the battery draining issue and constant synch, which I hope I have solved thanks to K0rtnie's post here.
I just applied the fix today so I'll see if it does the trick.

However I noticed my sync is a bit weird. Whenever I create (or even edit) a meeting or contact on Outlook and then synchronise it with my PPC, only meetings and contacts without notes will appear on the Axim. All meetings and such that have notes in Outlook won't synchronise.

I use Pocket Informant 2005 and I thought the problem was coming from there. At some point I was tired of all the battery issues and this sync issue and did a hard reset. Even with the PPC's factory settings I noticed the sync issue I mentionned above.

Does anyone have tricks or any tips for me ?

Many thanks in advance,

Mels.

Thanks for your reply waterkguy13. I just realized something, when reading your post... I have Office 2003 on my laptop and I didn't install the Outlook that came with my Axim... Maybe there's a slight difference between the two... I'll try to install it over my usual Office install and see if it solves the problem !

Edit : I tried to install Outlook 2002 (provided with my Axim) and I believe there was a conflict with my Outlook 2003 because none of them would launch Do you guys have any advice ?

I just noticed the same issue. I am running Outlook 2002 on my laptop. I had been able to view the Notes for my Contacts and Appointments with no issues. However, all of a sudden, The notes appear to be gone. When I open the notes to a Contact, it appears blank. I cannot even create a Note now. It seems that whatever app is used to create the note has suddenly gone on vacation.
Any thoughts on a cause, or better yet, a fix?
The only thing I might have done was a backp for each of the past two weeks.

I'm desperate on finding a solution, to be honest. It seems not a lot of people have the problem :(
What version of ActiveSync do you use ?
I am using 4.1 and starting to suspect that ActiveSync is the cause of all this mess... :(
