I have the same problem and supporting code 80004002 and cannot be solved by creating a noname contact.
However I found out a solution to solve it and I believe that is correct because I have the problems happened twice and solve it on the same solution.
The solution : delete partnership relationship both on PPC and computer and then restart the computer and soft reset the PPC, connect them again to build up a new partnership relationship, Sync again. Problem solved
