Sync requires a soft reset of X51v

I have finally gotten my X51v to sync with my work computer.

My work computer is Windows 2K sp4 with MS Office 2003.
Axim is WM5 AO6, AC 4.1.

If I wish to get my Axim to sync with my work computer, I have to soft reset the PDA before I put it in the cradle. It will sync just fine after. I can access the files via AC 4.1 and all my contacts/e-mails/appointments come across fine. It will sync periodically throught the day. All is as it should be.

If I remove the PDA from the cradle, it will no longer sync. The little green circle never comes up. The PC does not see it. If I tell AS to look for the PDA, it does not find it. I have to perform a soft reset of the Axim. After the reset, it is fine until I remove it again.

I can work around this, but does anyone have any ideas why this is happening?

Thanks

Weir

maybe because it's not in the cradle :)

hehe. All I can tell you is try a hard reset. If that is too much trouble, try restarting your computer (you should try that first anyway).
