Every time I try to sync, it asks me to correct the password. It just keeps asking me to correct it. I can log on through the PC and it is fine, but can't seem to get the AS on the PPC to work.

Mine says that i am using the wrong proxy. i wonder if it has to do with my companies proxy blocking it? I can surf through the same proxy though. but I can get to it via my pc also.

Connecting through the cradle failed (didn't even ask to correct the password, just said connection error).

So, I tried with our internet access WiFi. That's what got it to say invalid password.

I have tried with _ and with a @ in my username. I have tried capital and lower case letters on my user name to see if maybe it is case sensitive.
It just keeps asking me to correct my password...

Some help on the usablility of this? I already have my email account setup so I can access it via pop access if I encounter a hotspot somewhere. I have multiple email accounts but have them forwarded to my main email account which I would access here. So, for email I don't see the difference between accessing my email through pop access and syncing to exchange server. I can see advantage of having contacts, task, and calendar available on exchange server in canse I want to access them from the random pc. Am I missing something here? Thanks for your insights!

i got a little closer using this format for the user name: yourusername_mail2web_ with the underscores in that exact position and nothing else. still not working exactly but a little closer.

With this. Only 1 click sync (ActiveSync), it does it all...All your different email accounts can be aggregated at once..all your appointments, Contacts, tasks are synchronized...Look at collaboration capability...

(e.g.If you have a secretary at the office and you are on the road, both you and the office are completely in sync...)

In the near future, you don't even need to manually sync. Exchange will automatically push to your device (like Blackberry)

I am using:
Sever address: mobile.exchange.mail2web.com
User Name: BrandenRussell_mail2web.com
Password: MyPassword(but the correct one)
Domain: ad2

It just asks for my password again and again.
I have tried the following User Names:
BrandenRussell
brandenrussell
brandenrussell@mail2web.com
brandenrussell_mail2web.com
BrandenRussell@mail2web.com
BrandenRussell_mail2web.com

All get me the same result.

Edit:
BrandenRussell@mail2web.com is what I enter for user name on their site with the PC and that works fine.

Just so you know, that isn't limited to 3.8. 4.1 can't either.

i sync'd to the mail2web server once, now it errors out, and on the web client i get this error...
Quote:
"Microsoft VBScript runtime error '800a0005'
Invalid procedure call or argument: 'Mid'
/owa.asp, line 105 "
oh well, i figured i'd give a M$ mail server a try, but i'm not too suprised to see problems... thanks for the helpful tutorial though!

You can either go to your currnet email accounts and see it there is forwarding capability to mail2web addresse, if not you can use mail2web to pull your emails.

When you set up the server on ActiveSync, did you enter your password and check save password?
