Oh, I completely understand. I certainly don't expect it to have no ads. My problem is that the ads are taking up litreally half of the browser window, making it much harder to use the main OWA window. A lot of the space is being taken up with unnecessary tabs to other parts of the site, which isn't making them money and isn't of any use to me. I would be much happier if it just showed a banner ad and none of the other crap.

I'm also not talking about IMAP/POP3. I mean actual Exchange server support - it has its own protocol, I believe. I think that is supported for the paid version (they actually give you Outlook 2003 for free). My point is that it's not as much use to me if I can't use Outlook with the account, as some things just don't work as well in OWA. I'm also not quite sure why Outlook won't work, when ActiveSync is able to sync with their Exchange server.

So I checked this out when I got home and it seems that my work proxy server or firewall is blocking this from working. but it did work at home so I assume it will also work out and about on other wifi connections. pretty neat. still not sure about putting my company schedule info on a server that I can't control. thinking more about that before doing more than syncing the email from mail2web to my pda.

I got it working. However, after my first sync, Tasks were not synced. I went into ActiveSync on my x51v and Tasks is not an option anymore for Exchange Server. What is going on?

Also, after the first sync of calendar, all my calendar entries on my x51v has Notes(they show up on Pocket Breeze)! What is going on?

Anybody experienced the same thing?

I am using IE7 and the Full screen option (F11) seems to work nicely, the IE top bar is auto hidden allowing more screen real estate.

Like you said the MAPI support is available with paid subcription. That allows you to sync directly from Outlook to their Exchange Server

This is my experience with this. With the free account, I was able to sync Calendar and Email. Tasks do not appear as an option under Options in Activesync on the Pocket PC. Contacts do appear but when I tried to sync them I consistently received an error. It looks like it will copy contacts from mail2web server to my Pocket PC but not the other way. When I emailed support at mail2web they said that I needed a Business Professional Account to sync contacts. I could import them into the exchange server by emailing them a copy of the exported .pst file containing the contacts. Am I missign something here? Thansk, Jim

Beside Tasks, my other PIM information are sync'ed perfectly between my Axim and Mail2Web including contacts. You might want to check on your ActiveSync settings (Advance) for Exchange server where you can indicate the direction of sync.

What protocol is ActiveSync using? I would've thought it would be using MAPI as well.

I don't know the answer to your question. I was referring to Outlook 2003 client connecting directly to the Exchange Server using their MAPI support ($8 plan)

I imagine that this does not change the fact that ActiveSync's schedule must remain set at manual in order to prevent problems with WM5.

i don't get it. i have the same password request box over and over, seems like i've tried a million different combinations to get this working.

one poster mentioned the problem and said that to remedy it you need to change your username to username_mail2 -- i tried that, and username_mail2web and username_mail2web.com and millions of others. it just doesn't work.

he also said to log into the control panel and click on e-mail settings to see the username you're supposed to do. i logged on the control panel without a problem, but then there is no options, preferences, or anything. there is an e-mail button, however. this button seems to not have any configuration options in it at all though.

i guess i'm missing something big here? :'( please help.

everything works great logging in on the comp. can't sync in the cradle, it just keeps asking for my password. i have tried changing to mixed caps, all lowercase, etc etc.

Right. You still need to set it to manual (unless you want it to automatically sync and wake itself up... :approve: )

Yes, set to manual...I tried to schedule for every 5 minutes. Immediately my CF card starts disappearing..Which never happened before. Set back to manual and problem is gone..
