WM5 to WM2003SE Rollback Question

Well I tried and tried to make WM 5 work for me but I had finally had it and rolled my Axim X50v back to WM2003 and now it is running INSANELY SLOW!!!! I'm talking I have seen old 386's run faster than this thing! Any thoughts or suggestions I am at a loss here.

There isn't much to say, the WM5 build for the x50v is really screwed up. You can go through the forums here and apply a bunch of hacks that make it somewhat better, or you can go back to the OS that works well.

Unless you have some specific, compelling reason to use WM5, you are much better just staying with WM2003SE, and waiting until Dell posts a better release.

I had the same problem. Pull out the WM5 CD again and act like you are going to do the upgrade. Pull it off at the first hard reset and you Axim should be back to a snappier 2003SE again. I'm not at all sure why there downgrade did not play nice.
