Why do my times change on recurring tasks?

I am using Pocket Informant on my X50v, and I love it. I only have one problem, and it doesn't really seem to be related to PI, but I'm still relatively new to PI and WM.

I have recurring tasks to remind me to do certain tasks during my shift at work. When I check them off, they automatically go to the next day like they should, but it advances the time of the reminder anywhere from 1 to 5 minutes. So if I have a reminder for a task set to go off at 10:15, it does, but when it sets the new task it sets it to 10:18 for example. This appeared to happen when I was evaluating Agenda Fusion as well, which is why I think it's probably not related to PI specifically.

Does anyone know why this is happening? I'm running WM2003SE, the latest version of PI (2005, Rev. 4, Build 492). I am also using Pocket Breeze 5.0.11, but this was happening before I was using this version of PB. :rolling:

I may be wrong, but I think the new task will respawn at the point you actually click the checkbox on the task.

e.g. Looking at my task list this morning I noticed that I had forgot to check my "GTD Weekly Task" last Sunday so it was in my out of day list. This is set to re-occur every week.

I checked the box and it respawned for next Sunday NOT this sunday. I then had to manually change it to remind me this evening.

Hope that helps

That's not the behavior I'm seeing. The same tasks reset to the same time difference each time. For instance, one task sets itself 3 minutes later than it's original time. It is set for 10:15, but ALWAYS recurs set at 10:18, no matter when I check it off. I then have to go in and reset it manually to 10:15. Another one only does one minute, and a third always does a 5 minute difference.

Ok that is very strange behaviour...

Indeed. One thing about my Palm(s), while they didn't always do everything perfect, they were rock solid stable on alarms, repeating tasks/appointments, and other PIM stuff, which is an essential function for me in a PDA. I love the Ax and all of the other stuff I can do with it, but without reliable PIM/alarms it kind of defeats the whole thing, ya know?

Ok, some poking around finds some interesting results...

If I check the task off within PI, it preserves the proper time. If I check it off in PocketBreeze, it "adjusts" the times on these tasks. I'm not sure why, but it seems to be a problem with PocketBreeze.

Ok, updated PocketBreeze to 5.0.12 and now it seems to be doing it right. I was using 5.0.11 before. :approve:
