Where is the £ sign?

Apologies if Im being stupid but Im a new user of an X51v in the UK.
The keyboard that comes up on the dell only has a $ sign and I cant seem to type or find a £ sign.
The same problem is in outlook, when I type a £ sign on my laptop it comes out as #
I have set the regional settings correctly as UK on both the Dell and my laptop.
If anyone can help I would appreciate it.

Is there not a £ sign three places to the right of $? There is on mine, purchased in Ireland!

On my US version X5, the "£" sign can be accesses by hitting the "numbers option" [123] on top left of the SIP keyboard ... it is then displayed on the bottom left side

Yes, three places to right of $, in the numbers option. I should have added the last bit!

Guys, I feel so totally stupid. I never realised there were numbers options i.e the 123 button. I kept hitting shift and the symbol button. Thanks so very much.
Now to try and get outlook to so the same!!

No need to feel stupid. It is far from being intuitive.

But better still, use the Resco keyboard which is so much nicer and has both the £ and the $ signs when Caps is selected if the keyboard is set to UK. I think it is available form Handango at a very modest cost.

BTW Welcome to the site. It is always nice to have another UK member
