yes , access the net by a bluetooth connection to your phone then via GPRS/EDGE/WCDMA to the internet. Not all of us reside in the USofA , so we do not have to purchase crippled phones.

I have a preference for phones running the symbian 60 operating system and own a nokia ngage original and a nokia 6630. The first program to instal is Fexplorer which is an excellent free file explorer for your s60 phone.

I find using BT and GPRS/EDGE very handy with my axim when out and about.

And even if your phone hasn't BT, you may be able to go online via InfraRed (not very satisfactory, though, it must be lined up to the Axim).

Before bluetooth folks used cables to use there pphones to get online. There was a survey done recently that found online surfing the number one use for cellular data plans.

It's internet access when there's no other way to connect. I don't have wi-fi with my Axim, so I use my cell phone to connect to the internet when I'm on the road. (Especially if I'm lost and need directions.)

Sometimes, I use it to check email at work, since using the government service is against the rules. :rolling:

Using the cell phone is just another way to connect to the internet. I use it for my pocket pc and my laptop. (No, I am not a techno-geek.)

All three items are now bluetooth enabled (despite Verizon's block on my cell phone) and they play together nicely.
