Remote playlist control with X51v

Alright techies, got a question for you.

I want to be able to control the playlist of Windows Media Player (or any other player for that matter) on my desktop/laptop computer using my X51v over a wireless connection. Here's the catch: The computer and the Axim will be the only wireless capable devices in the area, i.e. no wireless router.

Any suggestions?

Solution 1:
Have you tried setting up an adhoc wifi network between the PC and the Axim? Once you've done that you could use RemoteAmp (http://www.smashcasi.com/remoteamp/) to browse/play your winamp playlists?

Not sure about WMP - It's crummy as it is, I'd suggest to go with something slightly better...

No Problem. Wireless connection between axim and PC then use Terminal Server on the Axim to control the PC.
