Battery Status

Hi, could anyone recommend a program that can tell me the battery status of my X51V in maybe percentage figures and not like the default WM5 one that only tells me high battery or low battery? I would prefer one that doesn't eat up resources and prefably stay on the status bar on top and not on the today screen. Thank you..

I have opened the Power applications (Start/Settings/Systems/Power) and leave the icon open all of the time. When ever I want to know the % remaining in my battery I just open the application. I use Magic Button so it shows at the top of my X51V all of the time.

I would have to say that I really like SPB Pocket Plus from the looks of it from the website but I have already got PocketBreeze (got it at 50% off from using the aximsite voucher) and PocketWeather (beta version) running in the Today page so I don't want to run another program there and fill up the page further. I don't want my x51v to start lagging badly. I guess I'll try the program written by dogfood. I'm sure it is good if its

Hrm

Personally I like Batti 1.3 better than the dogfood registry tweak. Batti also displays battery status as a line on the top 3 pixels of the screen.

http://pda.jasnapaka.com/batti/releases/1.3.php

My reasons:

1/ Using an x51v The CPU status does not show.
2/ Batti is more configurable - you can select what color the battery meter turns at what battery % (mine is blue at 100-21% and turns orange at 20%) AND you can configure it to check only once every 5 seconds. Ive always been wary of the battery check programs draining batteries by checking too much.

Maybe these can get implemented?

batti's good... been using it for over a year. whatever you might want from a top-screen battery gauge -- v2.1 has it all.

however the idea of having gauges for ram & cpu load is great too, and batti doesn't have it...

exactly my thought! why not take everything great from batti and the dogfood's great tweaker?

batti
+ shows percentage notches! something i miss so much in the regtweak...
+ is much more configurable (colors for every state and backgrounds too, space for start button etc.)
= only shows battery status =(

regtweak
+ shows it all
+ has some other very usefull features
= doesn't show percentage notches =(
= can't show only ram status (without storage)
= doesn't let configure where to place gauges
= doesn't let one select gauges length (e.g. i'd like cpu speed gauge be only 4 steps (notches) wide and the cpu load gauge take up the leftover width, the same with battery/memory pair)

whatever, this is a great app -- thanks dogfood =)

p.s. why not post info to www.pocketpcfreeware.com, or have i just missed it there?
