Groupwise PDA Connect and Dell X51v...
Has anyone used and been successfull with synch'ing GW PDA Connect with the new Dell Axim x51v? I can't get it to work to save my life.
Any help is appreciated. I'm not even sure Outlook needs to be in the picture. I finally reinstalled everything and have Outlook working but not Groupwise.
TIA!!

It's been working for me. Though, I don't sync e-mail, just contacts and calendar.

Cool, this is allI want todo as well.
Is your solution a free solution or do you have to buy software todo this?
Cheers

It's an unsupported (not even beta) FREE application from Novell. It works with GW versions 6.54 (I believe) and above. I'll have to find the link again if you need it.

I have my Axim x51v pulling email directly from the GroupWise server via IMAP w/o any third party software. My problem is I can't get the GW calender to sync with the outlook calender on the Axim.. Anyone else able to get that working w/o additional software? I've tried using outlook on my pc and that will sync email also with groupwise and pda, although I still can't figure out how to sync GW Calender with the Outlook calender..

Again, try Novell's free but unsupported app:
fsetuppda
You may have to register and you MUST be using GW 6.5.4 or above. I've tried it with <6.5.4 and it didn't work. I don't sync mail but calendar and contacts work both ways.

And it's a true sync with the calender or does it install an application that the user must go into to view it?
Oh yeah... Um.. Go Wings!

Second round may see Wings vs. Avs.
No, it's a true sync. You view calenadar & contacts via regular GW. Likewise for the Axim - no additional viewing software, just a syncing application that's invisible except for the memory use.

Damn, I think my company is using 6.5.2 or 6.5.1.
Bugger, all I want to do is sync my calendar, thats all.
Ok if I have to buy something, what should I get?
Thanks

I'd try the free route myself first. There isn't any way your IT folks can upgrade you? It's just the client that needs to be upgraded, not on the server (or exchange, or whatever it's called) side. When I asked my IT contact, he merely upgraded my workstation to 6.5.4.
If that doesn't work, I've used Puma Tech's Intellisync with varying degrees of success. At times I had to clear everything out on the GW contacts side and re-sync.
Good luck.
