X50v keeps changing isp password

Hello, newbie to PPC here, I just got a x50v to replace years of Palm. Anyway, I have been trying to set up my bluetooth connection with my TMo V3 to get my email. I have it going through a dial up internet service and it did work fine with my palm devices. When I am setting up the connection to the dial up, I get to where you enter the user name and password (and domain name which I leave blank) and hit finish. Every time I enter my password and hit finish, the thing changes the password (its stars so I dont know exactly what its putting in there but its like 3 times longer than my pw that I entered.) Needless to say the connection is refused at that point by the isp due to bad password. I have done this like 20 times and it happens every time. I even did a hard reset and tried to set the password on a freshly reset axim with the same results. Anyone have any suggestions/similar problems?? I have 2003 2nd edition. Thanks :realmad:

The extra stars aren't real characters -- they are placeholders to prevent password length from showing.

Hmmm...then I wonder why it wont connect. I'll have to keep trying, thanks for the info!
