Well, i just started Uni, (Hurray!)

I have to use VPN to do that and i got it to work just fine on my laptop and my PDA finds the network and stuff, al i want to know is how can i get the PDA to load the .PCF file?
Instead of manually inputting every setting that i dont have a clue what is?

It is possible..

Hi,
as far as I know you won't be able to load the *.PCF file into any VPN-client on a handheld. It is Cisco VPN-client's configuration file and it is not a standard format. A few of us has succesfully connected to a Cisco Concentrator 3000 (the VPN gateway, which I think might be installed at your university), check this thread:

http://www.aximsite.com/boards/showthread.php?t=117352

It should have showed up in a search.. What you need is either BlueFire VPN or NCP Secure, but be sure to read the thread - settings can be tricky. You will find some of the information you need in the *.PCF file. If you have any questions I will prefer to answer them in the other thread, to keep everything about Cisco VPN and WM5 in one spot.

Good luck,
Thomas

Hi Proliator,
just wondered if you are getting anywhere with your VPN? The group password in the .PCF fle might be encrypted, so you would need to get this from your IT-staff at your university in that case. Good luck with your VPN, and don`t give up - it`s doable!

Use the AnthaVPN Client.
This will connect to your Cisco VPN 3000 Gateway.

I can vouch for that but you need to stop and restart your wireless card for it to work properly.
