Formatting an SD card with Axim x51v

Hello all. Just received my new Axim x51v 2 days ago and so far I am not disappointed for selling off my PSP. Seriously sweet piece of kit. I applied the activesync fix right out of the box and have been experiencing 0 problems. I wanted to install a few programs to try things out and hijacked the SD card from my wife's camera. It's a PNY Technologies 256MB SD Card. Problem is when I insert it into my axim it is recognized as a photo card. I want to be able to install my progs onto this card and do not care (at this point) whether or not it can be used to hold pics. Anyone have any ideas? I looked at dl'ing a prog called pocket mechanic but would prefer shareware progs that could do essentially the same thing. Format it so that it is usuable for progs. on my axim. Cheers. Rue.

I don't think you need to format the card. I've used cards with photos on it and had no problems installing programs in it. Just choose SD as your install location when prompted.

If you really want to reformat, you can use the format feature on your wife's camera, or if you have a card reader, you can right click on it from the PC side and choose Format.
