How to kill bottom bar on Today screen?

I want to get rid of the bottom bar on the Today screen. The one that has the "Calander" and "Contacts" on it. It is just a waste of space for me.
But, I like the little icons down there. I just don't want that huge needless bar.

OR, how can I change "Calander" and "Contacts" to something else?

You can't get rid of it IIRC,
Tweaks.net 2K2 can change it though.

Mine are set to

"My Music" -> TCPMP and "My Pictures" -> Resco Picture viewer

I found a very simple way to change them!
A small applet you can get from below thread will do it:

You can use Wisbar Advance or Wisbar Advance desktop to make the bottom bar disappeared but still remain the functionality.

I dopn't think you can remove the bar "programmatically speaking". What SolSie means is, that you can use Wisbar Advance to skin the desktop. And with this skin, you don't apply any bitmaps to the bar, it'll just be transparent, as per the screenshot SolSie attached.
Correct me if I'm wrong Solsie ;)
