use same account to check pop3 or syc with outlook? help!

hi folks,

newbie with the axim here, got a question that as far as i can tell is not ITFM.

So, my axim syncs with outlook which has all my emails. My desktop pulls the email via pop3. How do I set it up so that, when away from my desktop, I can pull my new emails into the axim via pop3 into the same account on pocket outlook that has my synced emails from the desktop? Will those emails then sync back to my desktop?

Thanks,

Blue.

so your checking them with two differnt accounts on your axim? basically "viewing" them from one account and synciing them later when your at home?

there's got to be a way to collect emails via pop3 either on the desktop or the axim and have them sync back and forth.

Umm, isnt it like that by default? You can sync with two computers...

Perhaps i'm not being clear. Here's what I'm saying.

On my desktop I have outlook which checks me@myaddress.com via pop3. when i syc with my axim, i can view these emails my. when i did the first sync, it setup pocketoutlook with a folder structure that matches my outlook setup on my desktop, so i have a folder called "inbox" on my axim.

with me? OK.

now presently, the only way for me to get emails into that inbox is to sync with my desktop. what i want to do is pull emails into that same inbox via pop3 during the day and have those sync back to my inbox on my desktop when i sync at night.

does that make sense? if it's any sort of default, it aint' working right for me.

I have the same issue as you. I read the help file on the axim and it states that any e-mails on your pc will be synced with the outlook on the axim, and any e-mails you create will be put into the outbox on the axim and when you sync it will put them into the pc outbox and send them. the send/recieve is gray out on the axim for outlook, I now have like you a pop account to the same outlook account to send and recieve from the axim, also you cannot move e-mails from the folders from the pop account to the outlook folders on the axim, pain in the ass

Let's assume you've 5 new POP3 emails during the day. Why do you want to sync them back to your desktop at night? It's already there. All you have to do is go to your desktop, & press Send/Receive without synchronizing.

You're trying to put something "back" when it's already there. You know what I mean.

In my view, the problem is that there doesn't seem to be any way to sync the e-mails that I send from the Pop3 accounts that I have set up in my Axim to Outlook on my PC.

For example:

I am out and about and I check my e-mails on my Axim using PoP3 via Wi-Fi.
I get an e-mail from Joe Blow and I need to respond right away.
I send an e-mail to Joe Blow from the Axim.
That e-mail ends up the Outbox of Pop3 account that I set up on the Axim (call it "Business").
As far as I can tell, there is no way to move that sent e-mail to Outbox of the Axim messaging account that syncs with Outlook on my PC ("Outlook Email").
But I want to have a record of all my outbound emails on my PC.
The only way I have figured around this is to BCC myself everytime that I send an e-mail from my Axim so when I get home I can download a copy of these outgoing emails and store in them in the "sent" folder on my PC.
If anyone has a better solution I'd love to hear it.

Exactly. Unless you have dial-up at home, I dont see whats wrong with getting emails on both.

nothing wrong, I just want them to go in the same place. when i click "messaging" i want to see the emails that got put there when i synced, and the emails I got via pop3 directly, without having to switch accounts.
