Downgraded X50v from WM5 and problem?

So after upgrading my X50v to WM5 and its problems, I've downgraded back to WM2003SE now.

However... Now whenever I enable WiFi, the X50v wants to try and establish a Bluetooth connection automatically as well. I can't seem to use just my WiFi to connect to the internet. I also have a Bluetooth connection setup with my cell and Cingular GPRS. But it keeps trying to establish a BT connection whenever I activate WiFi.

This didn't happen to me previously on WM2003SE or WM5, but now that I've downgraded it's doing this.

Previously my X50v had ROM A03 installed though, and now its got A05.

Any info or help

on what could be causing this would be greatly appreciated!

So no one else has experienced this issue when downgrading from WM5?

are you using the button on the side to turn on Wifi? Try the little bars in the bottom right corner of the screen. I did not have a problem downgrading

Okay, thanks for the info. No, I'm using the WiFi tray icon to connect. I guess I'll try a hard reset and start all over again.

Hi there.
Might be that the BT is also turned on, when the WiFi is... MAYBE, just maybe, this will help:
1. Turn on the WiFi with the button on the side (and the BT will turn on automatically)
2. Turn off the BT only (In the BT settings) (WiFi will remain on)
3. Press the button on the side to turn on WiFi.
4. Next time you push the button on the side, only the WiFi will turn on.

I remember the above described situation from when I got my Axim X50v (which now runs smoothly with WM5 (believe it or not

I've actually got the side WiFi button mapped to something else. I'm using the BT/WiFi tray icons to activate them. I'll just try a hard reset and see what happens. It's interesting that I just downloaded and installed the latest version Spb Pocket Plus - v3.1, after downgrading from WM5. I'll hard-reset and install the apps last, and see what happens. Thanks for the responses.
