Question X50v WM5 vs X51v WM5 vs X50v WM2003SE

Hi to everyone!!!
Hi just want to ask a couple of question about performance of these three configs....

Is X50v WM5 faster than X51v WM5?
Does it use the XIP (Execute In Place) method to run applications?
Has it more free mem available?

Wich one is the fastest gaming configuration?
X50v WM2003SE... (Am I right?)

Thank you a lot!!

not faster configuration, just faster because it works on WM2003SE and none others.

X51v WM5 is faster than X50v WM5 due to different speed of the ROM. X50v WM2003SE is faster than X51v WM5 due to the X50v running programs in RAM, not copied then run on RAM.

I thought X50v WM5 has NOR ROM wich is faster reading than NAND... Also WM5 can XIPing programs instead of copy them into RAM first...

it should, but making use of the XIP isn't coded into the wm5 upgrade dell gave us...
so, as a result, it isn't faster, AND we have to deal with extra issues like the filesys bug that doesn't plague the x51vs =/

in terms of gaming speed:
X50v WM2003SE, because of the gapi tweak. until games can make use of the d3d in wm5, it'll stay this way.

NOR is faster for writing and NAND is faster for reading. http://blogs.msdn.com/windowsmobile/...19/453784.aspx

Also, XIP doesn't apply for any user installed programs and can only be used for applications in ROM. I don't know if Dell made their wm5 roms to supports XIP, but I wouldn't be surprised if they screwed up again. How would one prove or disprove if XIP is being used?
