Last night as I lay down to go to bed, I decide to grab the Axim, hook up to my network wirelessly, run the Axim through my headphone amp to my Audio Technica ATH-A900's, and watch a few music videos streamed from my computer.
Was in the bathroom and went to connect to my wireless network, but instead connected to another router near by that was unprotected (I live in an apartment). I was even able to browse files on a computer that was part of that network and still surf the Internet on someone else's connection. Good little Axim.
Using my aximv51 GPS as I am pleasantly driving south to see grandkids. The gal on the software keeps saying "sous" ! That makes me smile and its only 1200 miles from Chi town to Sarasota! Love my axim51V...picks up on all the WIFI places flawlessly.
Thanks to the forums, at 79 I've extended my horizons!
Cheers

I was totally blown away the first time I played a movie on my Ax. I followed Bradish's tutorial on encoding a movie and I did Phantom Menace. It was amazing that a movie that was originally almost 8 GB and shrunk to 480 MB could still have such great quality on the little screen.

Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish and he'll be gone all day.
Traffic lights that are set for 35 are also set for 70

Wow you shrunk a movie to 4.8mb? Is that a typo or is that for real?! 300mb film files are just about acceptable for me

1. discovering this site
2. at a recent trade show a customer said they were from the country of Guadaloupe and wanted to know if we could ship there. We had no idea where it was so I looked in my CIA World Factbook made by a user here and found the country and many facts about it - quickly. The customer saw a map of her country on my Ax and excitedly pointed out her city. I did that with customers from other countries too just to show off and to provide discussion material. still working on the sales to these foreign companies, but at least they'll remember us thanks to this cool software.
