- First check your serial number and see the advice at the bottom of this page: http://www.ratocsystems.com/english/...iver/cfu1.html
- Plug your Ratoc CF: You should get a window asking for the driver. Press cancel. If you do not get the window the CF is not good or the driver is already installed.
- Download latest Ratoc driver version 1.94. Do not attempt to install any previous version. They do not work properly on X51v with latest ROM.
- Execute file cfu1r194.exe: you get a folder tree with 3 drivers (host, mass storage and human interface) for several CPUs.
- Each driver comes with a setup.exe utility but I recommend copying cab file directly to PDA so that you can easily reinstall the drivers if needed. Copy somewhere in your PDA following files:
CFU1R1.94\WM5_PPC2003\HostDriver\HCDCAB.ArmV4.CAB
CFU1R1.94\WM5_PPC2003\HidDriver\English\HIDUS.PPC2 003_ARM.CAB
CFU1R1.94\WM5_PPC2003\MassStorageDriver\usbmsc.PPC 2003_ARMV4.CAB
- If you have any Ratoc driver installed remove them using your PDA "remove programs" utility and soft reset PDA.
- Execute all CAB files in same order at point 5.
- Soft reset PDA. When Windows start you should not get any window asking for driver.
TEST:
I recommend to start testing with mass storage devices.
Try different models of USB memory stick, I never get any problem with them.
They should appear as “hard disk” at your file explorer.
TROUBLESHOOTING:
Plug as many as possible non supported USB (1.1 compatible) devices like printers, scanners, webcams, cellphones, etc. If device is USB 1.1 compatible USB HOST DRIVER will open a window asking for a driver. This is a good way to test USB host is working.
Each time you plug a valid device for your a mass storage and human interface installed drivers (mouse, keyboard, etc) you should not get any window asking for driver.
If everything goes wrong try to repeat steps from point 6, but using polling mode host driver instead:
CFU1R1.94\WM5_PPC2003\HostDriver\Polling Mode\HCDCAB.ArmV4.CAB
