Notification error: Cannot execute GarminQue.exe

Hope you folks can help me.

I installed Garmin 10 on my x51v, and everythings works well, except it slowed down the startup of my x51v. So I decided to delete the program off the x51v and still use the HP 2210.

However, now, everytime I turn on the x51v, I get a notification error saying
Cannot execute \Garmin\GarminQue.exe

I've looked in startup under windows but couldn't find anything related to Garmin.

Any suggestions on how to eliminate this notification error?

My error reporting is disabled as well.

Thanks in advance.

Go into your file explorer and deleat anything pertaining to Garmin.I'm not an expert but that's what I would do.

If you use Memmaid or SK Tools, look in the notification queue for events that launch that app. If someone knows a freeware app to do that, hopefully they'll mention it. Or you can install the demos of one of those. (Although I can recommend either one.)

Thanks, but I didn;t look far enough. There was a Startup menu folder as well, found a Garmin Ink file there...but still slow startup....maybe it's the lastest version of PB that slowing it down.

Did you ever get this fixed? I installed Que to my SD card and then uninstalled it because I continually got that stupid notification error every time I turned on the device. I ran a registry search and deleted every reference to garmin and garminque.exe but still no joy. I want to avoid a hard reset unless completely necessary (no time to reinstall stuff).

EDIT: Nevermind - further searching led me to a post with a link to the solution here: http://www.pocketpcthoughts.com/foru...ic.php?t=36471

What works for me without resorting to memaid is to run Garmin and exit it properly. I noticed that if I exit Garmin properly before I go to hibernate mode, I don't get that error message. Once I get that error message, I just run Garmin and exit it before hibernating. When I turn the Axim on the notification is not there anymore. Hope this work with you guys too.
