Ok, I followed the advice in the threads I could find in Aximsite.

I am able to get my wireless network setup, both the PDA and ThinkPad can ping one another, if I turn off Zonealarm on my Thinkpad I can also ping the outside world from my PDA, (ie. google, yahoo) but I still cannot get to anywhere with the browsers.

I'm ticked off with Zonealarm, I have my PDA in the trusted zone so why it's blocking pings to the outside world I do not know.

if anyone has any ideas, I'd really appreciate the input.

well I unchecked all the 'extra' work stuff under the network connection properties and now I can access the internet, I'll do some digging and see if I can figure out exactly why this was happening.

a couple sites would connect, that's about it, almost seems like a network conflict
