Yeah, please let us know how you made the AVRCP work with TCPMP? I understand there is an option like "enable widcomm bt button", but it didn't do anything.
My bad, wmp was running in the background. So my headphones were actually controlling wmp. Which explains why I heard 2 audio streams but I dismiss it thinking it was some bug. :p It was already 5am when I got the widcomm bt stack to work on my 51v and so tiredness got the better of me and I didn't try it out properly.
I can only confirm AVRCP profile works but with WMP only. The volume control works on TCPMP.
BTW, where is this enable "Widcomm BT button" option? I cant find it in the version I am using .72RC1. I dunno wat it does but perhaps enabling the Widcomm BT Buttons and mapping the buttons as hotkeys on the TCPMP may work?

Hi,
Did a little research over at CoreCodec forum
Take a look at Picard's (Gabor Kovacs) statement, he is one of the developers of Pocket Media Player (TCPMP). Can anyone make something out of what he is writing.
It looks like he is saying - no direct support for AVRCP for the time being - but there is a workaround using the Windows Media Player skins to capture the correct mouse/screen events. I can't make anything out of it
Will this also work on an x50mid wm5 cuz thats what I have and I tried it before and got some invalid certificate or required components not found error
Ya try this time with the latest version and use resco to install reg, i tryed a free registry ediitor but didn't work therefore my reg wasn't properly installed. And when u do a reset use the full power off funtion in power setting and don't hit the reset switch.

I read that same forum thread and I don't get it either. It seems likes he is saying that they developed a way capture the button push which is sent to WMP, but if so then shouldn't it just work? If anyone has any information about this, a plugin, or anything usuable I would greatly appreciate it.

This works great. I confirm that HT820 headset works fine and AVRCP controls work with WMP only (not with TCPMP nor with MortPlayer nor with VLC). I will try other functions tomorrow.
For information, I encountered two minor problems with the installation:
1. PHM registry editor did not allow to import the registry 37 file. I had to use Resco registry editor.
2. I could not copy the shortcut under StartMenu programs from the software distribution package, so I created another shortcut that I placed in the startmenu/programs directory.
Other than that, all went well.
Good night and thanks for the good work

I have the HP iPAQ FA303A headphones on Axim x51v. They're the same as the Logitec wireless headphones for PC, MP3, or ipod. Logitec makes all of them and besides the different plasitcs, the mp3 and ipod ones just come bundled with special adapters for their respective players.
I'm so happy they now work! Both stereo audio and the controls work perfectly. They don't support and headset profiles, so I can't test that.
I've been watching this and related threads for awhile, since you guys asked for reports on which A2DP devices work, I thought I'd pay my respects and let you know that mine does. Anyway...Thanks again so much for all your hard work!!!
One final note, this may be because I have an X51v ROM A6 (other models/ revision may actually have it), but I didn't have a
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Drivers\BuiltIn\BCHSDRV
registry entry. I just ignored it and followed the rest of the instructions to the tee.

Any idea why connection with ActiveSync might NOT work with this setup?
I have x51v, and I followed the instructions to the tee, I have Serial Ports, OBEX exchange with a phone, PAN and DialUp services up and running with my phone and Access Point... but Activesync refuses to work.
I can create a shortcut and pair PPC and PC, then PPC connects to PC, Activesync on PC begins to try to connect, BUT nothing happens on PPC...
Any idea what I need to do to connect? Would be a pity to go back to MS Stack just because of this, but I have to have AS connection...
I can't connect via ActiveSync on bluetooth either. It says:
The file '1' cannot be opened. Either it is not signed with a trusted certificate, or one of its components cannot be found. You might need to reinstall or restore this file.

Have a look to the last pages of the Reusing Widcomm stack thread here. You'll find the solution there.
Thanks for the comment. I saw that later when looking for a way out. :approve:

Ok...First post here...this site has been a life saver for my x50v.
I followed the instructions exactly as they said and I was able to get my Bluetooth Headset (Plantronics 640) connected. I even heard the buzzing noise that everyone keeps talking about. However, when I connect to skype or even go to take voice recordings, it still records through the built in mic and plays back through the built in speaker. The headset isn't used at all even though it says its connected. What am I missing here?

I tried my motorola hands free device i use for my phone and had the same issue. I noticed at the bottom of the install instructions there is a note regarding the fact that this doesn't work with headsets yet. It is stll farther than before but not quite there yet.
I would like to say congrats to guys that got it working you put alot of hard work into this and it really paid off. Are you guys going to continue working out the bugs or was the latest revision the final one?
