 Which one is your device? x50? x51?

Great job on this BT stack, guys - it's nice to see more services available!
But, I would like to be able to use the High Quality Audio setup to play my Axim 51V's audio over my Dell computer, but the Axim doesn't recognize any such service on my PC, even though my PC is also using WIDCOMM BT software with an Audio Gateway...anyone know how to do this?
Thanks,
James

Dell GPS System (navteq)
This is how I got my Dell GPS System working with this stack, I hope it helps at least some of you...
start->settings->system->GPS
GPS program port -> (None)
GPS program port -> COM8
Baud rate -> 57600
Manage GPS autmatically -> checked
Turn on Bluetooth and pair up with your GPS receiver (my passcode is 2003, not sure if it is the same for everyone)
Load Dell GPS Navigation System
after about a minute, it will say "WARNING. Unable to obtain GPS signal. Please check your GPS receiver and Bluetooth settings."
click ok, and go to start->settings->system->GPS again
The GPS hardware port was reset to COM7 (for some strange reason... maybe it's only like that on my system). Put it back to COM8 and click ok. Close the system folder and you should be back at the Dell GPS Navigation System window. GPS is now working properly...
This was all done through trial and error, so if this way doesn't work for you, I'm sorry... I'm not a guru in this, I just really needed GPS :)
Also, if someone knows why the hardware port changes to COM7 and how to fix it in place, please post this information.

SpeedSwitcher
I put the Rom a12 update on and I've been able to connect to my ANYCOM BT headphones with a dropout every 30 seconds in TCPMP but have been able to connect in Windows Media Player fine. I've also been able to connect up with my BT keyboard via the driver program I have for it installed on the X51v.
I tried putting the Widcomm drivers on the device and I can listen in Windows Media Player ok but whenever I try to use it in TCPMP it seems like the signal gets dropped, also I can't seem to connect with my keyboard using the profile in the widcomm stack nor can I connect using the driver program I have for the keyboard.
I thinking that if I just use the a12 update and not the widcomm update I can continue to use all my devices. I'm thinking that if I could switch the BT speed like the speed switcher program I should be able to eliminate the dropouts.
Does anyone know how the speed switcher program switches speeds?
Is it a registry setting??
Thanks for your help

Difficult to develop that speed switcher without knowing how to switch speeds, don't you agree?
Have a look to [HKLM\Software\Widcomm\BtConfig\SerialTransport\]. The values involved in the port speed are:
- ShiftSpeed (the speed in bps)
- ShiftCommand (0x36 0xFF 0x04 and the speed coded as a 4 byte integer. Take care of the integer byte order (least significant byte first))
Anyway, I don't think your problems are speed related. I hope I'm wrong and you find the solution.

well, I had the MS BT stack, but supposedly the patch discussed here removes it and replaces it with the Widcomm BT stack, or was I in the wrong place all along?
Anyway, I'm using the Widcomm BT stack right now (the GPS worked with MS one without any tweaking)

Would you try to see whether GPS would work with Widcomm BT stack? I had hard time to make it work. This could be a weak point for Widcomm BT stack. In my case, it was fine with MS BT stack before but not anymore. I consider that GPS + AXIM x51v is pretty useful feature, and I'm looking for the solution and help.
Best regards,
Cjxzsc

I don't know if I've misunderstood what you say but, if I haven't, I don't agree. GPS works perfect with Widcomm stack. In fact, a GPS was the first device reported working with Widcomm and x51v (see it here). From people's reports, It seems the problem with Dell GPS system is the software lacks the option to change the COM port the GPS is connected to. This COM port seems to be different with Widcomm and with MS stacks, so the problem is Dell software can't find the GPS. That doesn't mean GPS doesn't work with Widcomm. In fact, I'm pretty sure you can run any other GPS software with your GPS device and Widcomm without problems.

I get a lot of errors saying "A problem has occured with BtConnManagerCE.exe"
And when i enable my Bluetoot GPS receiver and go into "Active Connections" the Bluetooth Manager hangs.
I Downloaded and installed BroadcommX51V03.zip, was this correct?
Nice software though!

"What the hell...." I would say a couple months ago when unsuccessfully I tried to run Navteq supplied by Dell with Widcomm BT stack but.... it seems like there is a light in a tunnel. Now I have only ONE question. Which Navteq software you use? Is it original or new "patched" one where more of the options are disabled?Honestly new one works like a charm with MS BT stack but that everybody knows... the point is to make it useful with Widcomm one. So... original shipped CD from Navteq or "patched" new map loader?
