I have a problem of x51v and sony VGP-BRM1. My x51v has A12 ROM and Broadcom bluetooth stack 0.5. When I enable BT and search device than find VGP-BRM1. but it fail to pare device and display "The device does not offer any usable service. Please enable any desired services on that device or choose another one". Is any solution exists? (When I install Tornado A2DP driver, it works. But don't use multi-paring)

Doesn't the BRM1 only work with Sony-Ericsson phones, or is it supposed to work with any generic AVRCP device?

Hello all,
I DL'ed BT Widcomm stack for my X51. I was able to sync up with my MOTO H300 and hear the gingle. But how do I make it able to hear music on WMP? That is where I get lost.
Thanks in advance,
Fresh

I just bought an itech R35 off ebay for a good price, well a good price compared to the only store in my city that sells it, for $150 CAD. On ebay, I just paid $49 + $12 shipping, so $61 USD. I just thought others might like to know this. It is a headphone/headset with all the controls, in clip form and lets you use your own set of headphones with a 3.5mm jack output. That'll be sweet for outputing sound to my car's audio deck.
edit: oh ya, there is at least 16 left and the seller is x1387.

They work without problems with the hack. See the Multiplayer Games Bible for my x51v + Widcomm-related test results.

I've found a new solution that works at least with my X51v and i.Tech S38: I've set
[HKLM\Software\Widcomm\BTConfig\SerialTransport]
FlowControl=0
After this change, I can set the BT speed back to 921600bps using the Speed Switcher and the A2DP no longer hangs. I've been using this new configuration for over a week now and I haven't had a single problem. I don't know if this could have any collateral effect but I haven't found any. Everything seems to work OK (now at 921600bps :) ). Can anybody confirm this?

Great news! I've started testing it on my x51v, Pocket Loox 720, hx4700 and Pulsar 590A; will report back.

Have a look to [HKLM\Software\Widcomm\BtConfig\SerialTransport\]. The values involved in the port speed are:
- ShiftSpeed (the speed in bps)
- ShiftCommand (0x36 0xFF 0x04 and the speed coded as a 4 byte integer. Take care of the integer byte order (least significant byte first))
Anyway, I don't think your problems are speed related. I hope I'm wrong and you find the solution.

OK, my forst report: http://www.pocketpcmag.com/blogs/ind...&c=1&tb=1&pb=1

Since no one reported back, this hack seems to be working on my x51v, A12 with all music on
a microdrive.

Thank you guys for the feedback. Menneisyys, I'm surprised after reading the report in your blog. I didn't know the A2DP hangs were common in other devices too.
Did you try the registry tweaks about the quality of the audio encoder that I posted before?

I notice that 0.5 is still listed as the lasted version. There was also discussion of updating it to include some modifcations to the switcher program and some of the registry hacks. Has that been done? Is it still being considered?
Again, thank you for all your hard work.

Not yet; will definitely give them a try on my devices and publish the results.
It's only with the HTC Wizard that it should really be fixed - but it's not a Widcomm-based one. (Speaking of the Wizard, don't you know has anyone ever managed to hack a Widcomm BT stack on it? 0.50 doesn't work - the usual "No memory" error.)

Failed to disable RNDIS happens when you install that mikelspikel Widcomm for Axim x50v and x51v v0.5. i've posted this issue before but it seems like they are not aware of it and reluctant to fix it. so don't use Widcomm for Axim x50v and x51v untill it has been updated to fix this issue

We haven't released a new version yet with the latest additions as we are waiting for some feedback about the new registry settings (FlowControl and LineSpeed). If they seem to work OK for most of the people we can build a new CAB including them and some previous tweaks (the RNDIS fix for example). That's why it's very important getting some comments from you to check if what works for us works for somebody else. :)
