I haven't been able to implement the rndis change. I can't seem to release the registry entry for editing. Otherwise I'll try to give the others a go. I'll be especially interested in the audio quality change.

Can I make a request. Please make the RNDIS fix optional for us not using A12. Thanks.

Coexistance?

I am running the .50 widcomm stack and am having coexistance problems with wifi and bluetooth. If I am connected via WiFi and enable BT, it disconnects. If I am have BT enabled first, wifi never connects.

I've verified the registry key and DLL from the patch are installed properly.

Any suggestions?

edit: I should make that clearer: I didn't install the patch, I just verified that the .50 install had the proper registry key and DLL installed.

ok, I downloaded and installed this stack to get my bluetooth headset to work, which i successfully did. But my problem I have now, is that I want to connect to my bluetooth phone to dial to the internet. I get the 2 devices pair, and go to the bluetooth connection wizard and select connect to internet via phone. well it goes and it connects to the phone after passkey and all, but it doesnt see any services on the phone. Does anyone know of a way I can get to use this feature with my current phone. BTW it is a Motorola Razor V3C.

Previously on the old bluetooth stack (default Install) I could connect to my phone.

thanks

It's only with the HTC Wizard that it should really be fixed - but it's not a Widcomm-based one. (Speaking of the Wizard, don't you know has anyone ever managed to hack a Widcomm BT stack on it? 0.50 doesn't work - the usual "No memory" error.)
I wish I had a Wizard to test... :)

Which are the keys you cannot edit? The keys under HKLM\Drivers\BuiltIn cannot be deleted but you should be able to change the values inside them.

AFAIK, a release with the RNDIS fix included should work in A06 without problems.

Coexistance is set-up by the registry key:
[HKLM\Software\Widcomm\BtConfig\General]
RadioInitPostLoadScript=\Windows\MkSpk100.bts

Make sure this key is OK and check if \Windows\MkSpk100.bts file exists in your device.

No experience myself on this. Sorry. Anyway, have you tried to search in the thread? I believe there are posts about setting up DUN.

I installed the 0.50 stack on my A12 x51v, all BT options work flawlessly, no problem. I noticed, though, that some programs started to crash (i.e. I tried several alarm clocks and they all seem to be confused, not being able to start properly at a set time). Also, when I leave Axim idle for several hours it's not possible to switch it on (I just get blank, empty screen and it doesn't budge from there). Only a soft reset wakes up the PDA. Any alarms scheduled to set off in the meantime obviously do not work. I have the same programs installed on my Mitac Mio A201 and there's no problem there (but, of course, there's no problem with BT there so no need to replace stacks, etc). Did anybody experience any erratic software behaviour after installing the 0.50 stack? I now did a hard reset and will install the stuff one by one again just to see how it works.

Mikelspikel,
Thanks for the reply. Excited about then next release.

Kefir,
No problems here whatsoever. Tell me the softwares that are having problems and I'll test them for you (as long as they're freeware).

Hi all,
I have been offline for a while due to a broken leg, and just found the new trick that Mikelspikel have found.
I'll try to test it this night and maybe we can do the long awaited 0.6 version in the next days.

Yeah, I checked all that. I uninstalled the stack with no change in behavior, then restored factory defaults. After doing that, at first I could connect 802.11 and then Bluetooth (but not both simultaneously), but then I started losing access to flash every time I suspended and resumed the device (error messages on resume, nothing in the program folder, etc). This is with nothing installed except the standard OS. A reset restores things. Dell is sending me a replacement, maybe it's just hardware problems.

It seems the problems I experienced with the PDA are more Dell specific stories than anything related to 0.50 stack. Judging from various posts on the forums other users experience similar problems with Axim and they have nothing to do with BT. So far 0.50 works like a dream on my A12.

where can I get the patch?

My wife has a x51v and just purchased the dell bluetooth headphones, which as you know doesnt work. after much discussion with Dell and MS, Dell says that they will post to the web and in the docs that they ship with the axim that the axim is not compatable with bluetooth headphones, nor are they going to even try to deal with it. According to one supervisor at Dell " its too bad that you purchased the equipment, and were under the assumption that it would work. We are sorry that it doesnt, but Dell has no plans to resolve that problem". they also will not take the headphones back even though they have never been turned on. so now we are out the money. I have been reading this thread and am impressed with the commitment to solving the problem that is displayed. I have seen a few downloads in the earlier posts and am wondering when the current fixes will be available. we would be willing to do some testing as well.

It's not worth waiting - download 0.50 and start using it -- after applying the Flow registry hack. Most probably, it'll work.

Just started testing these values (after finishing doing the same with the MS BT stack); hopefully, will be able to publish the results either today or tomorrow.
