This is a common problem; see my full article on this subject at http://www.pocketpcmag.com/blogs/ind...&c=1&tb=1&pb=1 . The solution is using "Send via Bluetooth" in File Explorer as has been explained in section 1.1.3.2.

EDIT: now I see you've also found out the built-in File Explorer can be used :)

Agreed on the 590A :) (I'm also using it with my Widcomm-enabled x51v)

If Dell and Microsoft came up with a New ROM image version that fixed the BT stero problem, I would still stay with the Widcomm BT stero FIX. As they say, If it ain't broke, don't fix it..........! Are you going to post the download " FlowControl Hack FIX for the Widcomm BT stero sound........!

I've only had it for a short time, so this may not be my final word on this but so far, i.tech's r35 clip, amazing! Better then I expected. Connects through stereo a2dp, and headset profile, at the same time! Controls work (play, skip, etc..) and it even connects automatically if my headset is on when I turn on my axim, and if it doesn't connect automatically, all I have to do is press the mfb button and it connects to the headphone and headset profile at the same time! I can't tell you if flowcontrol or the other recent registry tweaks make it better cause I put them in b4 the i.tech clip even got here. The only thing I can't figure out is how to make the multi-function-button(mfb) execute "Voice Command". I know its possible on pocket pc phones, so it should be possible somehow, I'll post when I figure out it, if I figure it out.

P.S. It comes with a neck strap that for the life of me, I can't figure out how to use with this clip. It has 3 different plastic things around it and the way I'm using it just doesn't seem right. If anyone knows how these plastic things work, please let me know, it's driving me crazy.

This all seems great. However, it is a little confusing. The first post offers 3 or so different files to download. Do I donwload them all and install all of them?

Is there any clear cut instructions for implimenting this? It just seems as though this is not a simple installation which is probably scaring away a lot of people from trying it and thus paying for it.

I guess its a moot point. The bluetooth file wont even install.

The reason for the existence of several downloads is we developed the package and after that we found some interesting tweaks or fixes. At this time, it's enough installing the 0.5 package. If you want to use A2DP (stereo headphones) you should apply the FlowControl fix too.

The Brodcom stackx5 It just says instilation unsuccessfull

When I try to donwload the flowcontrol fix it just opens a new web browser with some garbledy-guk on it. WHat do I do with that? This is what I mean by a clear cut instructions. The first post has a list of numerous files to download, and then right below this index of download sites are comments about two versions (2 and 3) and something about a DUN patch if I use version 2. I just followed the first download link prior to those comments and I am not sure which one I have.

Ok this time I downloaded from the second downlaod site and it is installing. I guess the first download site has a corrupted cab file.

In anycase, I still dont understand which version I have (do I need to install the DUN patch or no?). How do I apply the flowcontrol fix? Do I install the speedswitch?

My goal is to listen to music as well as surf the internet, and send text messages and email via bluetooth.

It's strange you get an installation unsucessful message. Can you try to download it again from other one of the mirrors? The installation should be as easy as downloading the zip, copy the cab inside to the Axim and run it from the Axim.

The FlowControl fix is a reg file. To install it you should download it (using right click over it and save as...), copy it to the Axim and run it (you need to have a registry editor installed in the Axim, as Resco Explorer's registry add-in).

The rest of the post is mantained for historical reasons. It shows the progress of the project. The latest information is mantained on the top of the post.

You are right! This is a real FIX! Not only a FIX but a enhancement to the Axim! My stereo sound is great. it's like I'm in a movie house! Again this is the MOTHER OF ALL HACKS, truly the best. My friend and I fixed 2 Axims with the stereo audio skipping problem! THIS FIX IS PERFECT Thanks Mikespikel, SUPER JOB! :approve:
