the link to the page explaining how to change the icon does not work.

I used to have a nice VGA BT icon in the right corner but since the Widcomm BT stack upgrade it's no longer as nice as it used to be (the BTTray mui doesn't have any effect on it).

does anyone know the procedure to change it? Thank you

Bluetooth with x50v and Motorola HT820
I am new to bluetooth, but I am trying to get this borrowed set paired up with my trusty (?) Dell Axim x50v, which has A05, and WM2003/SE and I tried the HP drivers mentioned, which did give me a "High Quality Audio setup" that wasn't there before patching. But I still can not get these headphones to work. It does 'see' the HT820, but it never gets the 'next' button to light up, and if I click the icon, it wants the a KEY. A Key, for a headphone?

I must be missing something?

Thanks!

OK, it seems that Hard Reset doesn't know about the US Daylight Savings Time change. Shouldn't the clock sync? Or did I lose some updates?

I have those headphones and they work great with my x50v and the drivers you installed. If I remember correctly the key is 0000. Read the instructions for the headphones. You have to pair them properly with the ax.

If you did a hard reset you will have lost the dst updates. You'll have to reinstall them.

Widcom stack on X50v WM6
In case this answers any questions, I just successfully installed Widcomm stack version 0.5 on my X50v with WM6. I tested it and played video through the Core Player with audio going to my Plantronics 655 bluetooth headset (note: not A2DP though)

Thanks to the developpers for a great job.

Thanks, Mako. The owner of the headset gave me that code after I returned it to him.

I already needed to hard reset just to get back to having Bluetooth available. I have reinstalled most offending apps to SD or CD cards and cleaned out some crap. I also installed the HP sp30003 version 4.0.100.1189 driver on my X50v with ROM version A05 and WM2003se, giving me that High Quality Stereo option.

And so far my BlueAnt X5 stereo headphones work. (Key for the BluAnt is 1234, even more clever than 0000!) I bought the BlueAnts because they have replaceable batteries. Of course I don't know if anyone carries them, but, hey...

I like the BlueAnt X5 so far. Have only paired it with the 3.5mm dongle and the X50v. I will have more time with it on the Axim later, as I use it mostly at work with the dongle, but so far so good. Occasional cut-outs on the PC at work playing DL.TV clips from my thumb drive, but perhaps I am too close to the dongle.

At some point I might try it with my cell phone, as it also has a microphone, too, but don't hold your breath.

Thanks!

RW

Multiple SPP not working...
I upgraded to the new release, and it seemed to work great...

However, I use my Axim for inflight weather & GPS using two separate SPP BT accessories (an XM Wx receiver and BT GPS.) The OLD BT stack allows me to assign COM 7 to the Wx receiver and COM 8 to the BT GPS. The Widcomm stack does not allow this, it has the "incoming/outgoing" port selections the same for each, which creates a conflict. It recognizes both BT accessories, but will not allow simultaneous connections.

Obviously this has forced me back to the old, stock BT stack, and it works fine for this purpose. But I want the improved functionality of A2DP with the latest Widcomm stack for when I am not flying...

Anyone have clues as to how I can get the latest stack to allow simultaneous SPP connections on separate COM ports?

And I faced a problem with this Broadcom BT when connecting to a LAN-BT access point. This AP works with an ADSL modem as a home internet solution, as I don't have any WiFi and have as yet no intention to buy it. So when I connect my x51v (WM5 Dell A12 installed), the device sees the AP, connects to it, yet neither the Mobile Explorer nor Instant Messenger do not receive any data from it. I examined the Dell's registry and compared it to the one of Asus A639 which has Broadcom BT pre-installed and appeared occasionally by hand. So I found a string at HKLM\SOFTWARE\WIDCOMM\BTConfig\General by the name RadioInitPostLoadScript. After the cab installation there appears some \Windows\MkSpk100.bts value. This bothers a lot.. I made this field empty, and BT access point began to transceive data okay. Maybe somebody would face the same problem, so this is a workaround.

Removing that value that bothers you a lot breaks HFP/HSP and wifi and BT coexistence. Use the attached updated version, which makes everything work OK (including PAN).

Well, I had WiFi switched on today in my office with Instant Messenger online through it, and I sent files to another device with BT without any problem.. Maybe I don't catch the point, but I didn't see any difficulties in coexistence of WiFi and BT in my case. Anyway, thank you, I'll try other ways to make them conflict :-), and if found any, install this updated version.

P.S. Forgot to say thanks for such a great useful job done!
