Well, I got my rhinoskin aluminum hard case today. I had read a few places that it does not hold the axim very tightly inside of it. Well, I was experiencing this, in addition to the plastic on the inside of the case scratching my case. So, what did I do? I make an extra layer of lining with boxwave cleartouch cloth. Not only is it better fit, but your ax wont get scratched by the non-neoprine areas, it wont effect the radio transmissions AND, its more shock absorption. You dont even have to line the whole thing. You can put a strip down the middle.
But I am finding that too much extra padding makes the case extremely hard to open. And this isnt great because I find the case to be hard to open without any additional stuff. All you have to do to resolve this is take off any padding on the left side.
