Question Question about shutdown

Yes hello i just got my x50v. LUV IT. But when i just press the power button to put it in standby it wastes to much battery than i would like. Is there a way to put it in true off mode. Thanks!

Do you have wm2003se or wm2005. The easiest way to tell is when your on your main today screen. Do you see phone and contacts at the bottom of your screen in blue, or do you just see a blank bar with a few icons on the right.

With wm2003 a full power off is a hard reset. Probably not what you want.

Make sure you aren't pressing too long on the button and just shutting off the backlight. Quick press is on/off, long press is bright/dim. TO see, hold the unit under a bright light. If you can see the screen with things on it, then it isn't off, it's just dimmed.

That said, the X50 will draw some battery power to refresh the memory, so it is never fully off. As control said, if it's all the way off, it's hard reset and you've lost everything in memory.

well ... if you would have READ and followed the discussion on that thread ( same issue as your ) ... you would know that it is NOT possible on the X50V !!!

you can perform various tweaks & such to IMPROVED the device's performance.
