Question Controlling Wireless on/off on x51

Greetings from a newbie. I have been given a task to see if we can programmatically control the wireless on / off control. I have seen references to a program called wirelessonoff.exe that lives in the windows folder, however I do not see this on my unit. I am running WM5.0 with rom version A05 on a brand new X51. I also have a model X50 with Rom ver A01 - it is also running WM5.0, and this unit also does not have a wirelessonoff.exe program living in Windows folder. Does anyone have an idea how I can have my application turn on and turn off wireless on demand? Thanks for sharing your knowledge! Cheers!

The executable is on my X51v with ROM06 (and does what you'd expect). How are you looking for the file (I can see it in Total Commander and it's also listed in the File Explorer although without the suffix)?

When you are in file explorer, tap menu, then show all files, and then look again.

It is in the windows folder

I was looking at ways to do this as well. It can be done programmatically but the problem is that we'd need information on the wireless adapter driver.

I have come to the conclusion that without that information, the only way is to call the utility that is provided, wirelessonoff.exe or whatever it may be.

Thanks all of you for your inputs - in fact, I did not have Show All Files enabled, once I did that I found Wirelessonoff.exe - magic! I will feed this info on to the brain-trust in the group - mission accomplished! Cheers!
