Mad ActiveSucks - Now I canīt transfer any data

Hy folks,

I got a problem with ActiveSync 4.1 @see http://www.aximsite.com/boards/showthread.php?t=122539

But now its totally unusable. Everytime I click on "Explore" the "Mobile Device" Folder pops out, but with no files and folders. Like there is no data on it.

The weird thing is: I can transfer Ebooks from MobiPocket to my Axim51v. :rolling:

So it seems, that AS is the problem.

Shure I tested it with a disabled firewall, but with noch results.

Need help

Have you tried completely uninstalling it (registry entries as well), and reinstalling?

AS seems to get stuck when trying to transfer large files. When this happens to me I delete the file from the axim and the desktop transfer folder, soft reset and reboot the desktop. Then it works again.

Hello,
I did not reinstalled AS yet but softresets on the axim. I made a system restore from a few days ago, where AS was working.

Large files might be a problem, even many files. But the large files are on my SD.
When I tried to access the "Mobile Device" my SD was not in Axim. So I think the large file problem is in my case another problem, because the biggest file on Axim is about 3MB.

Are there another posibilities why AS makes trouble?

I think the problem may be with the usb driver that is installed with activesync. When you "explore" the device, you're not using activesync. You can also explore the mobile device from My Computer when activesync isn't loaded. It is curious that you can transfer the ebooks. I would second the recommendation for a complete uninstall, reboot and reinstall!

I've always had issues with using AS to transfer large files. The best (and easiest solution) is to get a card reader and transfer large files that way.

Yes, I tried it out now. I uninstalled AS over System Controls -> Software, rebooted and installed it again.

With no result. Still have the problem :rolling:

But thanks for help dudes!

Gotcha! It was Sygate, even disabling this FW doesn´t help. But without it AS is working @see http://www.aximsite.com/boards/showt...=1#post1048906
