Worried Off to Vancouver for 8 weeks - trying desperately to get this X50 up and running!!

Off to Vancouver for 8 weeks - trying desperately to get this X50 up and running!!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Got my X50 sync'd ok. Bought an SDIO 802.11b Wireless LAN Card so that I can connect in wireless "hot spots" not sure how to set it up tho. Did the drivers and utility blah blah Not sure if I've set it up correctly - She's blonde u see!

If I've got internet connection in the hotel room and it's not wifi then how do you connect up to the pda...? (bet that is such a BLONDE question - sorry)

Eventually managed to get the emails coming in and going out on - that was a nightmare.. sat for hours with that... bluetooth through my mobile phone jees that's another story. Can get them paired, then it loses connection... can't get my phone to connect the pda to the internet at all..

Slowly but surely losing my hair - got lots of it and leaving for Canada on Saturday arghhhhhh .... hehe

Check with your hotel and make sure the wifi connection is available.

OR

bring your own wifi router to connect to the network jack if there is NO wifi or hotspot in your hotel. There are some wifi routers for travelers. I think netgear has one.

Here is the link to some free hotspot in vancouver, bc.

Worst comes to worst, you can always try purchase the starbuck's wifi pre-paid card.

To ensure connectivity for your email, buy a CF or SD modem card too.

good prices in Canada relative to UK but make sure you get your PSTax and GStax rebate when you leave to return at the airport

I'm sure you will love it here! (if it's not raining)

There are many free wifi hotspot downtown so there is no need to pay for it if you don't mind walking a couple blocks.
