You shound NOT need to update the drivers on the device.
I got mine to work and didn't have to update the drivers.
Turn on BT on the phone and the AX.
Make the Razr discoverable
On the Ax, go to Devices and hit the "New Partnership" phrase to search for Bluetooth devices. It should find "Motorola Phone"
Click Next and enter passkey (should be 0000), then click next
Phone asks you to accept connection and asks for the passkey (0000)
On Razr, choose the picture to transfer and select Copy from the menu
Then choose your Ax device. Picture is on it's way.....
On Axim, say "Yes" to accept the file.
File is placed in the "My documents" folder in main memory.
That's all there is to it. I haven't tried sending multiple files through this method. For bulk, I use Mobile Phone Tools to copy to the PC first.
Me too, I had no problem sending photos from X51v to Razr (and vice versa) using the MS BT stack; but, that having been said, the new Broadcomm stack works better IMHO.
Thanks for that information.
Is there a noticable difference in performance between the two stacks?
Yes, the Broadcomm stack gives many more connectivity options, although I cannot say that the actual performance, ie BT transfer speed, is faster than was achievable with the MS stack. Any opinions, anyone?

just to confirmed what "ilshriner" stated and a few questions ... :)
haven't been able to send multiple files to the phone ... is this the way it's supposed to work ??
also .... when sending file from the X51V to the phone ( resco explorer, tap & hold file, select send to BT recipient, the axim now comes up with searching device menu ) ... if I don't repeat the "findme/discoverable" at this point with the RAZR ... it won't show up as a device to send file to ... why ?? already paired ... has already sent file previously ...etc
.. after each successful sent ... in order to send the next file ... I have to use the "find me/discoverable" from the RAZR's BT menu again ???
going the other way ( RAZR to X51V ) doesn't make me repeating the discoverable with the X51V !! ( I guessed because with the Axim ... we have the option to ticked the checkbox and it's permanent )
I am able to send files one at a time .. but have to resort to the above procedure for every file ... why ??? I thought the 2 has already paired ???
to paint a picture ... it's as though the RAZR released the discoverable each time !!! my Axim's name is still remained in the RAZR's menu as a device to send to ... but when sending TO the phone that I have to refresh the discoverable in order for the Axim to find the phone !
Before I tried to sync up. I have a V635 (step up from the Razor), and my GF has the black Razor. Both with bluetooth.
Our phones would find the axim and vice versa but the Axim using the M$ stack wouldn't detect any services being offered. Hence the devices couldn't send or recieve data.
Even if the Razor and Axim were able to send pics and other media, connecting to an ISP over the phones bt com port is non-exsistant.
As stated, the Widcomm hack allows faster transfer rates and allows to detect more bt profiles being offered. You only copy over some files and install a reg file. Its pretty basic and easy. Takes like 5 minutes then everything is working.
The only thing it cannot do is send audio to a mono bt earpiece using the handsfree profile but you can record audio. M$ doesn't even support a handsfree profile. Activesync transfers via bt have doubled as well. Its all good stuff.

in addition to the above ( files transferring over BT (OBEX )
I am able to do this ( DUN ) right out of the box with X51V + RAZR V3 ...
paired and got DUN and using it without any hassle whatsoever !
just exactly as described in this post ... using the Axim ... visit a page and it wake up the RAZR to dial the number automatically ...
Activesync via BT always worked for me ... the only thing I'm waiting from the project you've mentioned is Stereo headset ... other then that... I'm totally confused of the ongoing there ( reg files ) ... will just wait for the progress ... :)
could someone answer my question about the sending multiple files ??? can't be done ... is that the way it is for everyone ?? have to be one by one ?? and also about repeating "findme/discoverable" on the RAZR everytime for subsequent files... is that the norm as well ???
I can transfer files back AND forth between my x51v and my RAZR V3 (Cingular) with the default MS bluetooth stack. I'm always taking pictures with my phone and sending them to my Axim then emailing out to a group of people. Love it. Also, dude, you can connect to the Internet through your phone as well. Pretty easy too. And if you have Verizon you might be SOL.

Important safety tip: Don't cross the streams.
i have widcomm now but when i was using the ms stack you just need to select the pic you want to send and hit send via bluetooth and unknown should show up as an option if your ax and razr are paired, hit unknown and the ax should recieve a request.

you guys managed to avoid my question(s)
I also have stated ... sending files to the Axim was painless .. infact ... the phone see the name eveytime ...not as unknown :) .. my question was transfering files the other way ... have to kickstart the phone each and evrytime in order for the Axim to see the phone ( eventhough it has been paired )
and also the question about multiple files at once ... :)
