Aximsitebluetoothicon Motorola H500 BT Headset

I got my x51v to recognize the headset but I cannot get it to work. Is this a standard problem with the bt stack? I was awfully suprised that it even recognized it at all. I tried after I got the Ax to connect with my Razr so that I could use it as a modem. If someone can help me out here I would like to use the headset or music and taking audio notes. thanks in advance.

The X51v has a crippled BlueTooth stack with missing profiles. Sorry, you're out of luck.

For now!

Not to start another "when is Dell going to release that @#$% update" whine fest, but it's hoped that an update will be released soon. Whether it will have the appropriate profile is another thing.

Aximsitebluetoothicon Not really the answer I was looking for

Maybe I worded my initial post incorrectly. I realize that the x51v has a bit of a difficult BT stack. I would not call it "Crippled" as it does work to connect my PPC to my laptop w/BT and my Razr for use as a modem. I was just playing with it and it recognized my headset and connects to it. Is this normal? I figured if the BT stack didn't work it would not even recognize it. I guess that is my real question. For all it's so called "faults", I love this little machine.

I really like my x51v as well, but I think you can call the BT crippled by any definitition of the word. It does work with some devices but doesn't play well with others, so at best it's a bad implementation, at worst they purposely decided to not include support for profiles many people would like to have.

Either that or they had no foresight whatsoever and assumed no one would ever want to use Skype or listen to MP3s through a headset...
