DELL removed this commet from their forums

I poasted the following response to a DELL forum thread complaining about the WM5 updrade;

"I agree with the above postings. My question is has anybody actualy talked with a laywer about DELL's legal obligation?? This seems to me to be a clear violation of the "Lemon Law", the one origanlly passed to make manufactuers of "bad" cars responible to fix or replace them."

Apprently DELL lives in fear that their "crime" will finially get the attention it deserves! I Could see removing this respone if contained obscently or abbusive language, but hitting to close to the possible truth apparently upsets them to!!

How does it compare with their posting policies?

Perhaps you need to proofread your posts before you submit them.

if proofreading is actually required/mandatory before posting anything......80% of posts in anything will have to be taken out....there will be more forum mod than average users.....

Hardly. If Dell was going to cower every time some one cried "lawyer" the complany would have folded years ago. Sounds to me like it was just off topic, and didn't add to the conversation.

Anyway, Who's actually trying to sue them because of their bad service? I think is worthless to take this subject as high as to the courts room. And besides, is there any company or person losing real big amount of money because he/she cannot use WM5 with all of its features? Com'n man give me a break!

But it will show that the person posting actually took the time to make sure that what he wrote is what he meant..... Plus it will make it easier for others to figure out what he wrote. It doesn't matter how brilliant you are, if you can't make yourself understood. Right or wrong, I always think that a post full of spelling and grammer errors was written by someone not very intelligent and therefore not worth reading.

Dell moderators do not remove posts for poor spelling or grammar or for being off-topic. It was because of references to legal talk. I used to visit their forum regularly.

In any case, the forum is theirs to control, so they can do whatever they want.

It sounds like several people have gotten their money bak that were not happy with WM5, best you could do in court is to get your money back on WM5, really not worth the trouble. Kinda american culture today though, Vending machine ate your dollar, SUE

That comma is not needed, and the correct spelling is "grammar". :)

If anyone ever catches me telling someone that their post is worthless because of spelling or grammar, ground me from my axim for a week.
