Fake Server Trick
My x51 ( not a 51v ) should arrive this week. Do I need to do the fake server trick??

yes you do plus make sure the ROM revision is A06. If its not A06 do the upgrade right away.

yup i did that and mine runs great, i would definately, definately (< that is not a typo it's there for emphasis) do that first

I thought A06 was for X51v only.

it is, you need ROM A05 for the x51. just make sure you download the right one. it will not work if you make a mistake anyway. when you run the installer it checks to be sure you have the right equipment.
