X50v w/ WM5 goes idle

After certain no-action time, my axim starts acting as if the lock screen button is pressed. It only happens when it is on and nothing is done. The 2 ways it mostly does this is 1. listening to a long song (10min+) 2. using GPS.
I really don't care for the music although it makes it uncomfortable, but I need the GPS to work without the axim freeze after 6-7 mins. After each freeze I have to soft res and wait 1-1.5 min unlike with wm2003. I am seriously thinking of reverting.

Is there anyway to stop that idle time freeze?
And is there a way to speed up load?
If not I will just go back to wm2003.

I can understand the frustration, WM5 on x50v is a bit slow. What do you have your processor set at? You might also try changing the Sync settings in ActiveSynce to 'manually' - that can sometimes help keep the power and processes going in the right direction.

The sync is manual. Speed is auto. The problem is when it freezes everytime an app is running and no input is put.

You're gonna have to go back to WM2003, friend. It sounds like giving up but it really is the only option that actually works.
