My ISP vs My Work

I'm using a hotel hotspot. I can only connect if the WLAN utility is set to 'my work' -- I cannot connect if set to 'my ISP.' In terms of security of files on my x51v, does it matter?

Also, how can I stop automatically connecting upon turning on wireless?

Security wise there is really no way for intruders to get to the files on your ppc. For the stopping auto connect you want to uncheck automatically connect to non prefered networks, and then delete the network from list that it is trying to co nnect to , if any. This is under settings/connections tab/network cards
