Stormloader, I actually don't want auto complete. Is this thing actually working now, or is the download just for show? If it's working will I be able to choose it like other keyboards, or since it's flash based how would I choose it?

There are instructions on the first post how to see my work so far. Test it out and then give more input if you have any. :approve: Remember, this is a way to more easily type text to then copy and paste in other areas, such as "Word." It is not a replacement for the standard WM5 Keyboard entry which works for any input situations.

You should be using the PIE browser with "Show Pictures" checked 'on' in PIE options and Flash Player installed ( I think either version 6 or 7 should work.)

Just out of curiousity, why don't you make it like another keyboard so it can be accessed from the keyboard menu? This way we can switch b/t the different keyboards?

If I knew how to do that, I would. How do you do that? I'm not PPC programmer, I'm a Flash Web Programmer.

Regardless, this is not meant to be a keyboard like that which would obscure your screen for input into every text box you encounter. This is for users to type faster, then copy/paste text anywhere they want. Online or offline.

I published version 0.23. The lower left button is the "SELECT" button. It makes the text selectable/not selectable for your actual use of the text after typing it in.

I published version Alpha 0.24

Check it out. Now the CAPS is on the left bottom side.

There is a new MENU button where you can now find the Select text option on the Menu. Also you can input the Opacity amount of the keyboard from 0 to 99 %. Currently you have to use the WM5 keyboard input to change that number though... I'll work on that later.

Version Alpha 0.5 is available.

On the MENU you can change the Opacity amount of the keyboard from 5 to 100% Using Up and Down arrows.

For some reason you have to click on the "Menu" button twice when you initially push on it to get the Menu to pop up. I don't know why it does this, but it is a very minor bug.

I figured out how to download it and it's truly incredible. It's a little wide for my x50v screen, but I really like it.

OK, I squeezed it together a bit for x50 users. Check out this link if you have problems with how WIDE the KB is:

This is just a quick fix, to see if it is better for non-x51 users.

A couple of suggestions: 1) I think it should auto-copy whatever is being typed (as it is kind of inconvenient to go to the menu, enable text select, copy) 2) If it's not too hard, it would be nice to have the "gesture" feature that the default keyboard has (i.e. press a key and swipe upwards to write in capitals, swipe to the left for backspace, etc).
Besides that, great idea/program!:)

What a coincidence. I have been working on a data input method for the pocket pc for ages using Flash. I find it a bit of a pain that I cant find a way to make the flash type to the pocket pc. I mean directly to word etc. Is there a method of using batch files or something similar on pocket pc?

I think I might be able to do the capital letter gesture, great idea! I would code to upper case if you press a letter then let go anywhere outside of that key. I guess I could make the space bar be a delete key if you let go outside of it (what do you think?)

I don't know about the other suggestion, but I'll look into it. I'd like auto-select/copy as well, but it might not be possible to code that ability.
