Best Way To Manage Memory

I have most applications on my X50v installed to an SD card, but it seems that my memory is always dwindling to near nothing requiring a soft reset. Any info, recomendations to rectify this w/o additional software would be greatly appreciated.

Some other questions:
Is there a hack/ option to make Resco the default file browser?
How about making apps aware of files that are several directories deep, i.e. Notes being aware of notes that are in Dir1>SubDir1>Misc Notes ect...
Two more, creating playlists in MWMP 10? Is this possible or must they be created on the desktop?
Last one, MP3's on my desktop are 320kb. I'd like a solution to compress/convert them prior to sync with PDA to save space but I don't want to compress/convert my entire library as it is about 24Gbs.

Many Thanks In Advance........

Just 1 more... Default input keeps reseting itself to keyboard when set to anything else?

are you surfing the net at all.... your Cache could be filling up, you can clear it within PIE...

to change the defauly input you'll either need a registy hack, or Apps like tweaks2k or SKtools will do it for you.

Why do you feel the need to attempt @ wisearse insults? Obviously I surf the net and I've already cleared the cache.

Not everyone does surf the net with there axim. You didn't say you did. Clearing the cache will free up memory (for free) and you didn't say that you'd done that. I have no idea why you feel that being given advice is insulting

You also didn't say what software was on your axim. So it's not impossible that you may have had one of the products I mentioned. Assuming that you didn't want to buy any new software I mentioned that it was possible by doing a registry hack, there are free registry editors available... Although if you want to work out a way of doing it without either method then I won't stop you.

Well seeing as you don't want advice as you find it insulting.... I'll remember not to offer any to you again. Although I have no idea what your (not your axim's) problem is!!!!!

Apology?
Maybe we misunderstood eachother, thats as far as I'll go.
I didn't feel the advice per say was insulting, just the "are you surfing the net at all" comment as if to imply that I hadn't bothered to look for a solution prior to posting.
As for mentioning installed software, I didn't think it was relevant considering that I clearly stated that I am in search of solutions which don't require additional software.
Thanks either way... I hope you feel better now.

Feel free to apologize, fatbizkit. Psionandy did nothing but offer help with his post and you thanked him by saying he was issuing wisearse insults.

Was that a warning that if somebody told you that you couldn't do it without additional software was going to get flamed?
p.s. EngrPaul's tutorial on moving apps to storage cards can be helpful.

Also, try the "Odyssey Client" method to gain 2MB: Delete ODClientCE.exe (make a copy to your storage card or BIS), make a blank ODClientCE.txt file on your desktop, rename it to ODClientCE.exe, copy it over to your Axim in the same place (\\Program Files\Funk Software\Odyssey Client)
If you don't use Odyssey, this is a good RAM-saver. Also, it can be run in-place from the storage card, but it drags a little bit.

and you are a boob.

I wish we could vote guys like fattbizkit off the forum. Why does anyone offer to help them when they obviously don't understand or appreciate it?

There are plenty of people around here who may not have tried the simpler fixes because of their lack of knowledge of the PPC, so the simple fixes are usually mentioned first, just in case.

I don't understand where you get a threat or warning in my asking for advice which doesn't require additional software.

Well you know, a person can't help their upbringing. Or lack of one.
