Planning to change PDA...Any Advice?

Hey guys, I'm planning to buy a new Cell phone, but I decided to take the chance and switch to an all in-one PDA. But sincerly, I love my Axim x50v. So I'd like my new device to have the same characteristic of my axim (all specs) and if possible a built -in camera (a good one please). Am I dreaming or is there something like that in the market?

Oh! one more thing, money is not a problem:approve:

Thank you!

Check out the HTC Universal. It's a bit bulky, but otherwise it's a powerful beast. Otherwise, check out the Treo 700w.

I looked at a Cingular 8125. It has received good ratings. I didn't like the slow processor (200MHZ) but it performed better than I expected. It comes with a 1.3 megapixel camera that took decent shots...i think it had a built in flash. The pop out QWERTY keyboard was nice. Check out reviews on Brighthand, CNET (not the best review), many other sites, just Google it. The system runs WM5 and ran for about $299 with a $50 rebate. Not too bad but I decided against it since they didn't offer insurance on it. Good luck!

Don't get a Dopod 818 Pro if you have ever came across it. I must say it is really a league away from x50v or x51v.

I'd agree with kerunt, the JasJar, or HTC Universal, holds everything the Axim has and more.

It has a
Brilliant VGA Screen
2 Cameras, 1 acts as a "webcam"
Full keyboard
Cell phone via Cingular

Here's a great review on it. You can also find these on ebay for ~600-800 nowadays. (Estimated from the current bid prices vs time left. Searched for JasJar on Ebay)

Good luck mate!

The JasJar looks like a really cool device, the only problem is that its just plain ugly. I think im being too picky though. I'm excited to see the new options for integrated devices though!

You know what fellows? I agree with SB22. After having a look at every devices you've suggested here (and thank you for that:approve:) and so many others. I haven't been able to made up my mind yet, only the HTC and the JasJar has been the better choices I've seen.

Although the HTC has many nice stuff (some of them that I won't use, though) it doesn't have a Type I/II slot, witch is something I will really need. And although money is not a big deal, paying over 600 bucks for something that you still consider that doesn't measure up to your wishes isn't a nice thing to do.

I know that I'm being too picky with this topic of changing my X50v to an all in-one device (my girlfriend always said that too), but when you have such a good and stable device like this, it's a hard decision to take.

After all, I think I'm going to buy another Cell. Maybe in a short future the right Mobile-PDA will come. I think I'm going to buy a Motorola V635. I already own the V550 (but it has suffered a lot with me) and I really like Motorola.

Thank you for your advices, I'll let you know when I get my new device or change my mind again
