x51v not detecting bluetooth phone for dialup

Hey guys, I recently got an x51v and have been trying to connect it via bluetooth to my Motorola e815 to use it as an EVDO modem. I had no problem doing this with WM2003, but WM5 is causing some problems.

I go to settings -> connections and setup a new connection via My ISP. The Axim scans for the e815 and finds it, I then connect to it, but it doesn't find any profiles to use the device for, just a blank empty screen. I have not done extensive testing with this and tried another bluetooth device to see if it detects that (this is the first one I've tried), but I don't understand what the problem could be as I was literally doing this a few days ago on an x30.

Any ideas?

And by the way, I have of course enabled dial-up networking (##DIALUP) on the e815.

the answer is on this site...its a profile issue you have to use a registry hack to fix. i had the same problem with my v710. try looking under those keywords...you'll find it

i didnt save the link because wm5 pissed me off too much so i went back to 2003

You only need to do the registry hack if you want to exchange files between the phone and Axim.

If you just want to use the phone as a modem, all you have to do is enable DUN on the phone. I'm a neophyte at this sort of thing and I got it to work.

I found step-by-step instructions for setting up the connection with an e815 somewhere either on this board or on Howard Forums. Try doing a search on "e815".

This worked for me after installing Broadcomm v36 BT stack from this site; it hadn't worked with MS stack (my phone is Moto V3).
