Registry import problem

Hi all-

I searched the forum to see if this has been addressed yet, but I haven't found an answer. I have exported some registry keys on my Axim x51v, and upon trying to reimport them, I always get the same error: "The specified file is not a Registry script". I have tried the process with Total Commander, PHM Registry Editor, and Resco File Explorer. I have tried exporting to My Documents and to a SD card. I have read up on registry exportation and importation in general, and I am aware that there are different types of registry files. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong here, and any help would be greatly appreciated.

How did you export them in the first place? Maybe the registry key exported is corrupted. You should be able to import the registry key by just clicking on it with Resco file explorer. Exported registry entries should have .reg as the extension.

Just curious - how do you export the axim registry ?

There should be an "export" option in registry viewer such as PHM registry editor, resco registry, etc.

I exported the keys using the export option in Resco File Explorer. I tap and hold on the registry folders I want to export, and it gives me an export option. It asks where to save and what to name the file, and it seems to save them in .reg format. However, when I click on the file later to reimport it, I get the same error.

Thanks! I've been reading the site regularly for about three weeks now, ever since I got my new x51v, but this has been my first occasion to post.
