Question regarding button mappings

I searched this forum and did not find anything so here goes...

I currently have an X30 that my wife has fallen in love with to read eBooks. Part of what makes it great is the "Jog" on the left side to scroll down. Looking at Dell's site the X50 does not have this, instead it has two buttons for "Wifi" and "Record". Can those be remapped to an up/down function like the "jog dial" on the X30?

If so does anyone here read eBooks and use that function? Does it work well?

Thanks!

Yes, Wifi button can be re-mapped to up function and Record button can be re-mapped to down function.
Go to Start-Setting-Personal and click Buttons icon; Hit on Button 5 and assign it to "Scroll Down" and Button 6 for "Scroll Up" :approve:

It may takes getting used to as the buttons are even with the side so at first it may be awkward pressing either button, but you may be able to get used to that.

For me, I mapped the Wifi button as "Rotate Screen", and Record Button as "Close OK".
It is very convienent for me to complete close an application by simply a click, but no need to use stylus.

You can read this review of button mapper, and if you want you can use the japanese freeware btn+ , I have translated it in english, it's available here (log as host, password host). Note Btn+ works fine under 2003 SE, it doesn't work on WM5, for WM5 use double launcher.
