Dsl To Cable

Hi..
A great site here. Hope someone can help me.
I have the axim x50v.
Everything was going good as far as being able to connect to the internet.
Today I switched from DSL to Cable and now I can't get online with my axim.
I have a Linky's router. It works with the desktop and wireless with the laptop but not the axim.
Any ideas as what I might can do? It shows a red mark across the Linkys on the axim.

Were you using the same router with DSL?

Are you using any security and, if so, are you sure you've entered the keys correctly? With WEP, use the hexidecimal keys (10 or 26-characters); if you are using MAC filtering, people frequently mistake ones and zeros with L's and O's.

If it is a G router, make sure it's operating in mixed mode or B-only; if it's enhanced G, disable the enhanced features.

Check Linksys for updated firmware.

Thanks Ike I will check this out. I have the Linksys G router.
The axim worked great when I had dsl.
Funny thing it will connect to the internet if it's docked only when I take it off the dock it won't connect. It says Linsky's unavaliable.

most likely its not your cable internet or the router. It could be an ip address recognition problem in your pda. (though do check the security settings in the router) Try rebooting the pda and see if it resets the internet connections and check if you are recieving a ip address on the wireless connection (make sure your wifi on the pda) The wireless ip address will most likely be a 192.168.2.** which is from your router

hope this helps a little
